Daily Fantasy Soccer 2015: DraftKings WFB Player Picks for July 4 |

What better way to celebrate Independence Day than to dabble in DraftKings action for America's premier world football league? The MLS is back with six matches on Saturday, and there's no shortage of suitable daily fantasy options. There are some noticeable absences from squads with international duty snatching up many of the marquee players, but that inevitably opens the door for lower-salary players to shine in their place. With that said, here are a few names to target for July 4.
F: Cyle Larin, Orlando City ($8,200) and Kekuta Manneh, Vancouver ($5,800) Kaka may still run the show, but someone has to finish his scoring chances, and Cyle Larin is more than willing to oblige. Two of his six goals on the year have come in the last three games. With Orlando City losing just one match in the last seven weeks, they should cruise against Real Salt Lake—who owns the league's third-worst goal differential—and feed Larin a plethora of opportunities. The forward slot isn't typically the smartest place to save salary, but Kekuta Manneh offers much more than that. His last four DK point totals—6, 15, 17 and 12—have dazzled despite falling below $5,000 during that stretch. Western Conference-leading Vancouver should dismantle Colorado and give Manneh his chances.
M: Ignacio Piatti, Montreal ($7,200) and Felipe Martins, New York Red Bulls ($6,200) Ignacio Piatti's 20-point outburst in a win over Philadelphia last week may have been his first double-digit outing in four matches, but it's nothing new—he's eclipsed the 15-point mark four times in his last eight fixtures. New York City FC's defense will be a shell of its usual self without Mix Diskerud (international duty), which will open the pitch up for the Argentinian. Felipe Martins is less of a boom-or-bust pick, proving his consistency with DK totals of 10, 8 and 9 in his last three outings that mimics his nine-point average. Having sent in 16 combined crosses in those games, he's a strong bet to notch points whether or not he's busy in front of goal against Columbus.
D: Chris Tierney, New England ($5,600) and Chris Duvall, New York Red Bulls ($5,200) Revolution defender Chris Tierney has put up six or more fantasy points in each of his last four outings—that's something not to get away from when talking about back-line producers. Saturday's opponent is FC Dallas, a club that has won one game since mid-May and is averaging less than a goal per game in that span. Perhaps you can't expect two goals from New York Red Bulls back-line players like last week, but Chris Duvall can be counted on to continue his recent form. He has an affinity for crosses that will load the stat sheet and his confidence is at an all-time high after netting his first goal of the season.
GK: David Ousted, Vancouver ($4,900) Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper David Ousted is on an incredible run of form, averaging a seismic 17 DK points per contest in his last three outings. Ousted saved 12 shots in that span, winning each game. That's not the only reason, however, to tab Ousted. Saturday's opponent, the Colorado Rapids, have scored just one goal in the last five weeks and have been shut out in two straight matches. Ousted won't even have to be busy Saturday to put up points.
